Twenty years ago, three friends accepted a challenge: to build on the beach of a small Uruguayan village a restaurant similar to those that existed in the 1950s - simple and honest. A place on the Atlantic Ocean, where stories of Argentina, Uruguay, sea bass, fishermen and good wine are interwoven. La Huella, the story of a beach bar, perfectly captures this end-of-the-world atmosphere.
Chef Radu Ionescu graduated from the famous Le Cordon Bleu school with a Grand Diplôme de Cuisine et Pâtisserie, followed by a diploma in Culinary Management, becoming an alumnus of this culinary institute in 2015. Radu is a Gault Millau Great Chefs of Tomorrow winner in 2019 and the restaurant he founded, KAIAMO (located in Bucharest), is in the Top 1000 best restaurants in the world, according to the WORLD'S 50 BEST top of 2019 so far. The essence of his culinary style is given by values built around Mother Nature, with a focus on passion for gastronomy and respect for local produce and artisans alike.
